Hi everybody:

For all of the Arizona people that might have seen the news last night on tv about all of the smoke in the Sedona, Verde Valley and the rim area - here are some pictures.

I went up in the trike yesterday and the smoke in the air was really bad. I decided to see where it was coming from so off I went. I headed for Payson as it looked like it was coming from that area. When I got up to about 7,500 feet I could see that it was coming farther from the East. I went on ahead and went into Payson and had breakfast at the Payson airport then left and headed in the direction of the fire.

These are the pictures so you can see why the people in Happy Jack were raising hell and all of the fuss that was on the news. After a bit I had to get above and out of it as the smoke was making my eyes water.

Thats it until the next fire which is bound to come, as the monsoon is just starting.
